Lope ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

Lope is designed to work primarily on your device. We collect the following:

  • Apple Health data — steps, workouts, sleep, stand hours, mindfulness minutes, and active energy. This data is read from HealthKit on your device and never leaves it.
  • Screen Time usage — Lope uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls / DeviceActivity) to track time spent in apps you designate as "social". This data is processed on-device only.
  • App preferences — which activities you've enabled, your session history, and balance. Stored locally via iCloud (if enabled) for backup and device sync.

What We Do Not Collect

  • We do not require an account or email address to use Lope.
  • We do not send your Health data, screen time data, or usage history to any server.
  • We do not use advertising SDKs or analytics platforms.
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

HealthKit

Lope requests read access to Apple Health solely to calculate your earned scroll time. Health data is used only within the app, processed on your device, and never transmitted externally. We comply with Apple's HealthKit guidelines, which prohibit using Health data for advertising or selling to third parties.

Screen Time API

Lope uses Apple's FamilyControls and DeviceActivity frameworks to monitor and restrict selected apps during an active session. All monitoring happens on-device. Lope cannot see which specific content you viewed — only that the app was in use.

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled, Lope may sync your session history and preferences across your devices using Apple's CloudKit. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and is not accessible to us.

Children

Lope is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Lope after changes constitutes acceptance.
